The day before Thanksgiving I got to have a special day with my niece, Ella. If you follow along on Instagram, you've seen my posts about my baby girl.
On our special day, we went and had our nails done, a first for her, and she loved it.♥
Next up I wanted to take her to see The Grinch, but she had other plans for us. These plans involved playing together and doing crafts at my apartment. 🙂
It was a wonderful day, but alas, I have yet to see the new Grinch movie. Have you?
In honor of The Grinch movie, Christmas, and those who have a little bah-humbug in their sleigh, I am sharing Grinch Cupcakes.
Grinch Cupcakes is a typical play on the playful and festive green Grinch and his red heart.
I have a few other Grinch holiday treats on SBS including Grinch Pretzel Bites and Grinch Rice Krispies Treats, but these Grinch Cupcakes literally take the cake. 😉
I love these Grinch Cupcakes because they're easy-peasy, require no special baking tools, and are beyond darling! If you're looking for awesome-sauce special baking tools: 2018 Holiday Gift Guide For Bakers.
To make Grinch Cupcakes you'll need your favorite cupcake recipe. I love these Very Banana Cupcakes.
You'll also need buttercream, and I totally have you covered with eat-with-a-spoon, Vanilla Buttercream.
For the green Grinch frosting, I used AmeriColor Electric Green Gel Paste. You could use typical green food coloring but you'll get evergreen green, not Grinch green.
And to top off the Grinch Cupcakes, Red Heart Quins. If you don't have quins and are feeling ambitious you could pipe a red heart with red buttercream frosting. #justsaying
It's time to get your Grinch on with Grinch Cupcakes. They're FAAAABULOUUUUS!!
