This year with Halloween just around the corner, I couldn’t pass up sharing a chocolate Halloween recipe.
Halloween Mummy Oreo Cookies are your favorite Oreo cookies dipped in white chocolate, decorated with royal icing eyes, and drizzled with more white chocolate creating a kind of spooky, a little cute, and totally fun Halloween mummy.
For the Oreos, I used Oreo Chocolate Creme Cookies. I thought an all chocolate inside would go great with the all-white chocolate outside. It’s a super chocolatey and ultra-delicious contrast. Halloween Oreo Cookies would also be a FUN option. Of course, any Oreo cookies would be a delicious outcome.
I also opted for different colored royal icing eyes. I make these eyeballs every time I have leftover royal icing so I have a lot of eyeballs. I also felt it kicked up the spookiness and made them more fun. You can use your discretion and make edible eyes, buy edible white eyes or edible colored eyes; the choice is yours. Muhahahaha!
Halloween Mummy Oreo Cookies are spooky-cute cookies that are easy enough to make with the kiddos, and even easier to enjoy; everyone will enjoy eating a mummy of three.
Halloween Mummy Oreo Cookies
Ingredients
- Oreo Sandwich Cookies, your fav flavor
- 2 cups white chocolate melting wafers
- 2 tablespoons paramount crystals¹
- royal icing eyes
Instructions
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper/Silpat mat. Set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add white chocolate melting wafers and paramount crystals¹. Microwave on medium heat for 30 seconds. Remove and stir slowly. Replace in microwave for 15-second increments until candy wafers are completely melted.
- Dip Oreo cookies into melted white chocolate using a fork or dipping tool and lightly tap to remove excess white chocolate; transfer to a lined baking sheet and immediately add royal icing eyes. Allow Halloween Mummy Oreo Cookies to sit until chocolate hardens.
- Pour melted chocolate into a decorating bag or sandwich bag and snip a wee-bit of the corner off. Pipe lines back and forth over the cookies to resemble a mummy; be careful not to cover the eyes. Allow Halloween Mummy Oreo Cookies to sit until chocolate hardens. Eat & Enjoy!
