Liz - Yes - funnel cake and pickles! I am trying to eat healthier too. It's difficult being a baking blogger, but I am a firm believe in everything is OK in moderation. π

I don't know whether to love you or hate you for creating such a handy list! haha! My son begged me for deep fried food all week at our county fair. This looks more doable than the $5 per serving they were asking.
Sarah says
Jamie - I think you should love me! π Yeah, this is definitely a more affordable option!

What an amazing list. Those deep-fried cheese curds will be haunting my dreams...in a good way! My two favourite fair foods are deep-fried pickles and turkey legs. So fun to eat!

Wisconsin made cream puffs? NO way - I swore it was France!
Great roundup! Loving this fried goodness (we texans are not known for shying away from butter, sugar, and cream lol)
Sarah says
I don't think they invented them. I think it was more like they were the first to feature them at a state fair, but I could be wrong. I am always down for fried goodness myself! Thanks for stopping by and commenting! π

I love making cream puffs, Sarah! These look delish. I've had chocolate eclairs on my baking list for awhile. Maybe when I make the choux for those I"ll bake a few puffs too.
