Football season has officially started and I am absolutely tickled. My 18 Football Game Day Sweets and Eats post might have given that away. I am not going to lie, a big reason why I am enamored with the football season is I LOVE all the creative football food {once again, see collection above}. Of course, I also adore my home team, the Green Bay Packers!
The thing about being a Packer fan is we like to party, and when your family and friends are even more #TeamPackers, the Packer parties are plentiful and so are the appetites! As a baker, of course I am sharing sweet treats with Packer flare. Enter my love for football food and today’s recipe Team Pretzel Hugs.
These Team Pretzel Hugs are sporting green and gold M&M'S for my home team; you can cheer on your favorite team with this easy-peasy, bite-sized treat decorated with your fav team’s colors! If you love the Patriots go with blue and red M&M'S. Rooting for the Broncos choose orange and blue M&M'S. If you’re a Browns fan use orange and brown M&M'S. With M&M'S 25 color options you're sure to find your team's colors!
Team Pretzel Hugs is not reinventing the wheel, but it doesn’t need to be. They are that good! You’ll never find an easier treat, and you won’t be able to keep the snack bowls full either. Pretzel Hugs are also an awesome treat for cheering on other sports {March Madness anyone?}, holidays, and just because. Sweet meet Salty. Your new best friend!
Team Pretzel Hugs will have everyone on their feet cheering AND chewing! Go Team Go!
What is your favorite sweet and salty snack? What is your favorite football food sweet? Is it these Team Pretzel Hugs? 😉
Team Pretzel Hugs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200F degrees.
- Place pretzel snaps flat on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Unwrap Hershey Hugs and place one on top of each pretzel snap.
- Bake 3 minutes until hugs are shiny and soft.
- Remove pretzel hugs from oven and gently press M&M'S onto each one. The hug will flatten out when you press the M&M'S onto it. If hugs aren't soft enough place back in oven for 30 seconds.
- Allow Team Pretzel Hugs to set in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Eat & Enjoy!
