When it comes to Halloween (and fall) I donโt think there is anything more polarizing than candy corn. It seems people either love it or they hate it. My feelings about this polarizing Halloween candy hover around indifference, although I do love the yellow, orange, and white color combo of candy corn.
Today I am sharing the amazing marriage of candy with cereal and marshmallows, Candy Corn Rice Krispies Treats.
Youโll love this candy meets cereal treats recipe regardless of what side of the candy corn debate you fall on plus nothing says Halloween like candy corn!

Letโs start with the Rice Krispies Treats component since youโll be hard pressed to find someone who doesnโt enjoy a good Rice Krispies Treat now and again. These Candy Corn Rice Krispies Treats are made with Jet-Puffed Candy Corn Marshmallows. Theyโre new. Theyโre adorable. And they're used in this recipe!
The candy corn marshmallows give these Candy Corn Rice Krispies Treats a little something extra. They also give this sweet snack its Halloween orange color. You do not have to use candy corn marshmallows. You can use regular mini marshmallows instead. If you opt for mini marshmallows and want the orange color, just add a few drops of orange food coloring. I urge you to try the candy corn marshmallows though. Theyโre just too cute and fun to pass up!
Now, letโs talk candy corn because we totally werenโt already. ๐
These Candy Corn Rice Krispies Treats contain a scant cup of candy corn. I used the autumn mix (minus the pumpkins) which means there are both brown and orange candy corn. They donโt taste any different than your typical candy corn; it just gives them more autumn flare. The scant cup was the perfect amount of candy corn; however if you really LOVE candy corn feel free to add up to an additional cup. It will really make these treats burst with candy corn!
Remember when I said you would love this recipe even if you donโt like candy corn, well itโs totally true! My hubby stands firmly on the no to candy corn side of the fence. He says it is too sweet. It is pure sugar after all. He does enjoy Rice Krispies Treats though and told me these Halloween bad boys were delicious! He said the candy corn didnโt make them too sweet and gave them a little something extraโฆin a good way! His colleagues (my food testers) also loved these candy corn treats. So there you have it, loved by the candy corn nay-sayers. ๐
Oh, and if you have kids they will love you forever if you feed them Candy Corn Rice Krispies Treats!
I think it is about time you knock your Rice Krispies treats up a Halloween notch and make these Candy Corn Rice Krispies Treats, donโt you?

Made these tonight for Halloween. Put 1 cup of candy corn into the mixture after removing from heat, then sprinkled more candy corn on top after spreading it in the pan. I also used orange candy melts to do a quick decorative icing (just a back and forth squiggly line) and put one candy pumpkin on each bar. They came out really good! Thanks for the recipe!
