I LOVE donuts. Seriously, I am #donutobsessed.

Anytime I travel I HAVE to hit up a few donut shops. It's part of my job, right?

It's also become my life mission to visit awesome-sauce donut shops in every state. #bucketlist

Thankfully, I've never had a bad donut, but I have had good donuts, great donuts, and AMAZING donuts!

I feel it's imperative that I share the AMAZING donut shops with you.

3 Must-Visit Donut Shops in the U.S.

Sweet Creations, Slinger WI

Sweet Creations is a local bakery for me. Their donut selection is plentiful and their donuts are HUGE and out-of-this-world delicious. Exactly what you want in a donut shop.

My favorite donut is the Pershing Donut. Pershing Donuts are similar to a cinnamon roll, cinnamon is swirled throughout the dough but made with donut batter. It's then topped with vanilla, chocolate, or maple frosting and your choice of topping - crushed nuts, flake coconut, sprinkles, Oreo crumbs, etc.

I am partial to the Pershing Donut with vanilla frosting and flake coconut or sprinkles; it's beyond delicious! I could eat several in one sitting and have. 😯

Oh, and they have the BEST peanut squares! I only eat peanut squares from Sweet Creations.

Mini Doughnut Factory, Tampa Bay FL, and St. Petersburg FL

I recently had many mini donuts from the Mini Doughnut Factory while vacationing in Florida. We visited their St. Petersburg location.

Visiting and consuming copious amounts of mini donuts from the Mini Doughnut Factory was a MUST for me and it should definitely be a MUST for you. I was positively giddy to visit!

The Mini Doughnut Factory donuts are freshly made to order. You can choose some of their concoctions or you can design your own donuts from a list of frosting, fillings, and toppings.

I HIGHLY suggest the Homer Simpson (vanilla cake donut with strawberry icing and rainbow sprinkles), French Toast (vanilla cake donut with glaze and cinnamon sugar), and the LeLe Coco (vanilla cake donut with lemon icing and flake coconut). I am drooling just typing about these donuts.

You won't be disappointed with the Mini Doughnut Factory, but you should definitely order at least the 16-pack. They are just too good not to, plus #noregrets.

Do-Rite Donuts & Coffee, Chicago IL

While visiting Chicago for a food blog conference, I ventured out to Do-Rite Donuts & Coffee with my hubby. We purchased a six-pack and suffice it to say I had one of the BEST donuts of my life (so far).

The Cinnamon Crunch Raised is astounding!! The sounds I made while eating this donut are best made in private!

There just aren't words for how excellent their donuts are so I'll leave you with this drooling emoji. 🤤
