I am going to keep this short and sweet. I'd like to make a quick personal plea, or PSA, on Wisconsin Cottage Food Law.
The State of Wisconsin is one of a handful of states that does NOT have a cottage food law in place.
A cottage food law is a law that allows small baking business' to create and sell baked goods from their home kitchen. This is a really important law as it helps small baking business' {like Sarah's Bake Studio} gain experience, exposure, and funding before taking the leap to a commercial kitchen or storefront.
As stated, the state of Wisconsin does NOT have a baking cottage law. There are efforts currently being made to get a Wisconsin Cottage Food Law passed, and it is being dubbed the "Cookie Bill".
If you are a Wisconsin resident who supports small baking business' {such as Sarah's Bake Studio}, I encourage you to sign the Wisconsin Strong Bake On petition.
Every effort helps in getting the Wisconsin Cookie Bill passed, and your support is greatly appreciated among the Wisconsin Baking Community!
