Do you want to build a snowman?
This chocolate chip cookie dough truffles recipe is not new to the blog. It first made its debut in these totally appropriate for Mother's Day, Daisy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles. You’ll be using the same cookie dough recipe, but instead, we’ll be scooping the cookie dough into two teaspoon balls. You’ll pop them in the freezer for 30 minutes and then dip them into melted white chocolate. It’s alright if it pools a bit around your cookie dough ball when it’s setting, this will give the snowman a melted effect.
When it comes to these Snowman Cookie Dough Truffles it’s all about the decorating. What you use to make your snowman face is really up to you. I used the orange triangles from Wilton Animal Sprinkle Set for the snowman’s nose. For the coal eyes and mouth, I used previously made royal icing transfers. Once the chocolate set on my truffles I attached the eyes, nose, and mouth with a little melted chocolate.
How you transform your cookie dough truffles into snowmen is really up to you. You could use melted chocolate and attach candies as I did. You could also use royal icing, a pastry bag, and a #2 decorating tip to create your snowman's face. Or the easiest option, purchase write on gel cake frosting at your neighborhood store.
