Marble Rice Krispies Treats – the happy marriage of Rice Krispies with Cocoa Krispies, a little butter, and gooey melted marshmallows; your new favorite twist on this easy, chewy, crunchy, popular sweet treat!
Happy New Year! This is officially our first post of the New Year! You might be expecting it to be healthy since this time of year brings that out in all of us, but unless you think Marble Rice Krispies Treats are healthy, we’re not doing healthy here. We’re a dessert blog after all!
I wouldn’t say that I am a HUGE Rice Krispies Treats fan, and yet you better watch your fingers if you’re going to eat one of my Rice Krispies Treats. I might just bite your fingers off, just kidding, but seriously for someone who isn’t a huge fan I’ve made Mickey Mouse Rice Krispies Treats, Football Chocolate Rice Krispies Treats, Candy Corn Rice Krispies Treats, and Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispies Treats. OK, I am a fan!
Rice Krispies Treats are just one of those sweet treats that once you eat one, you can’t help but to eat one more, and one more, and well before you know it you ate the whole pan. There just that kind of light, airy, goodness that makes you think you’re eating healthy and you’re not really eating that many anyway.
I once had someone tell me I made the best Rice Krispies Treats. I wasn’t really sure what to say to that since there Rice Krispies Treats. Doesn’t everyone know how to make really good Rice Krispies Treats? I had a chef then say to me, he felt the same way when people told him he made really good mashed potatoes. I don’t know maybe I am wrong about Rice Krispies Treats because I can’t make mashed potatoes. I also can’t cook to save my life.
Today I am sharing Marble Rice Krispies Treats. There you’re favorite traditional Rice Krispies Treats with a little twist, the addition of Cocoa Krispies. Basically you add half Rice Krispies and half Cocoa Krispies and viola; you’ve got Marble Rice Krispies Treats. Easy-peasy!
I actually LOVE the Marble Rice Krispies Treats. They’re my new favorite spin on this crunchy treat. They’re just as easy as your typical Rice Krispies Treats, with a nice touch of chocolate, and it makes them look pretty and special! I like chocolate, but personally find a straight chocolate treat to be too chocolaty for me. If you disagree, then you should probably just make my Football Chocolate Rice Krispies Treats; you don’t have to make them into footballs! 😉
What do you love most about Rice Krispies Treats? The ease? The gooey-ness? The crunch? Everything?
