Life Is Sweet March 2019 - a glimpse beyond the mixer into what we've been up to in March.

Aah, March. When I think back over March not a lot went on compared to January and February; it was mildly boring, and honestly, I am happy about that. I needed the break.
When I think back to all the days that I struggled with my anxiety and self-worth, all the days that I had to battle with our builder, and all the days that I cried, well it was most of March. 🥺
Thankfully, we've seen minor progression on our house AND we're heading into April with warmer weather, new goals, and new hopes!
Ella’s Birthday

We celebrated Ella's 7th birthday!!
My niece/goddaughter is growing up so stinking fast; I can hardly handle it.
It seems like just yesterday she wanted me to make her a purple cake that became a baking misadventure, and in the end, opted for these totes adorbs purple cupcakes.
Now my baby girl is practically a teenager. ::sigh::
I could not be happier or more proud of her. She is the light in my dark.
St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day over the years has become a day to celebrate and get our drink on.
I was out of town for last year’s epic Saturday celebration and this year felt lost with it being on Sunday.
Nonetheless, the hubby and I found some fun with friends and family.
We ended up at Tally Ho Restaurant & Bar jamming out to The Boogie Men. It was a hoot! 😜
Rainbow Cookies
These Rainbow Cookies were going to be a St. Patrick's Day recipe on Sarah's Bake Studio. Unfortunately, they were a total bitch to make. Cute. Delicious. Total. Bitch. To. Make!
Ultimately, I decided I needed to rework the process and recipe before sharing. I don’t want to share or advocate something to you that I don’t want to make.
Aren’t they super cute though?
Our House
The disorganization of Steeple Pointe Homes, their inability to be forthcoming, and the endless struggle with pricing increases continue to disrupt our lives in the most annoying, unprofessional, and cry-worthy way.
I can’t wait for this house to be done so I can hopefully enjoy it and wash my hands of Steeple Pointe Homes.
On a more positive side, the weather has been so much better this month in WI. They actually started working on our house and we have walls!
My hubby and I went out to our lot over the weekend and for the first time in FOREVER, I was able to see it again, the vision and a little glow at the end of the tunnel.
Hopefully, things will get better with this house journey but at the very least I saw a long-lost glimmer at the end of the tunnel.

So, that was Life Is Sweet March in a nutshell.
Not a lot happened but it was a welcomed reprieve, especially since this year is filling up fast!
How was your March? Anything you’d like me to share or get into next month?
