Bite-Size Walnut Brownies: A Surprisingly Homemade Delight
When it comes to brownies, I’ve always been a box mix kind of person. There’s just something about the consistent texture—perfectly chewy, fudgy, and incredibly easy to whip up—that keeps me coming back. So, I’ll admit, I was skeptical about venturing into the world of homemade brownies. But let me tell you, these Bite-Size Walnut Brownies completely won me over!

What Makes These Brownies Special?
The first thing that struck me about this recipe was how simple it is. Sure, homemade brownies take more effort than a box mix, but the results were absolutely worth it. These brownies deliver that crave-worthy texture I love—chewy, cakey, and fudgy—while adding a homemade touch that feels extra special. And the walnuts? They’re the perfect finishing touch, adding a satisfying crunch that elevates every bite.
Why Bite-Size Brownies?
I’ve always loved bite-sized desserts. They’re fun to eat, easy to share, and let’s face it—they make you feel a little less guilty when you go back for seconds (or thirds). These brownies are no exception. Their smaller size makes them perfect for:
- Holiday dessert platters
- Snackable gifts for friends and family
- Midnight cravings you won’t regret
Plus, they’re easy to pack for on-the-go treats or to add to lunchboxes.
Why You’ll Love Them
These Bite-Size Walnut Brownies have become a new favorite in my dessert lineup. They’re rich, fudgy, and just indulgent enough to feel like a treat. And while I still have a soft spot for box mixes, these homemade brownies have earned a permanent place in my kitchen.
So, if you’re looking to step up your brownie game, I can’t recommend these enough. They’re easy to make, packed with flavor, and perfect for sharing—or keeping all to yourself. Trust me, you’ll be glad you gave them a try!
Bite-Size Walnut Brownies
Ingredients
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
- Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper or foil, leaving an overhang on opposite sides. Lightly grease with cooking spray. Set aside.
- Combine the chocolate chips and butter in a medium heatproof bowl. Fill a medium saucepan with about two inches of water and place over low-medium heat. Place the bowl over the saucepan and let the mixture melt, stirring continuously until it is shiny and smooth.
- In a large bowl using an electric mixer, beat eggs and sugar on medium speed, about a minute or until thick. Add flour, baking powder, and salt; mix just until combined.
- Add chocolate mixture and vanilla extract; stir well. Fold in chopped walnuts.
- Spread evenly into prepared baking pan. Bake for 25-35 minutes. Insert a toothpick into the center of the brownies; if it comes out slightly moist with batter it is done. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
- Once brownies are completely cooled, lift up the ends of the parchment paper or foil liner, and transfer to a cutting board. Cut into bite-size squares. Eat & Enjoy!
