Birthday Cake Oreo Truffles – Golden Birthday Cake Oreos pummeled into crumbs, mixed with cream cheese, rolled, dipped into birthday cake chocolate and drizzled in sprinkles; your delicious birthday treat!
It’s my two year blogiversary! I seriously can’t believe it’s been two years already; boy does time fly when you’ve got recipes coming out of your ears, and are elbows deep in batter and buttercream.
I love it. I mean LOVE it!
Baking is a dream come true for me and blogging is a joy I didn’t know I would find. It makes me SO HAPPY, and I am able to do it because of you! Thank You!
With that being said, I have two confessions. The first is that last month, I quit my day job. Yep, quit it. Baking and blogging is officially my job. I am super stoked and a little scared. It’s always a risk being an entrepreneur {this is not my first rode} but with great risk comes great reward, right? I am beyond ready for this journey though, so bring it on! It’s time to sprinkle; I mean sparkle! 🙂
My second confession is that those previously mentioned recipes coming out of my ears have left me feeling a wee-bit overwhelmed. I have recipes everywhere…pinned, bookmarked, saved, earmarked in cookbooks, jotted down in notebooks, and tons of pages ripped from magazines. These recipe ideas lead to more recipe ideas and well my brain is feeling cluttered with recipes that are just dying to be baked and shared! The plus side, I won’t be running out of material anytime soon. The downside, my type-a personality is overwhelmed. I get overwhelmed easily. It sucks.
So, needless to say I feel like I need to get in the bake studio and get on with the recipe sharing. You know, for my sanity AND because I totally love it and love sharing with you! That too!
Today’s special blogiversary recipe is Birthday Cake Oreo Truffles. Blogiversary, birthday, it’s kind of the same thing. Plus July is my wedding anniversary and my birthday, so colorful, sprinkle covered, happy inducing Birthday Cake Oreo Truffles for everyone!
This no-bake recipe uses Golden Birthday Cake Oreo Cookies, which if you’ve never had, I highly suggest trying. They are SO GOOD! They are right up there with the traditional, but double stuffed, Oreo cookie. I am old-school like that. Seriously, you’ll love them!
You’ll also love these Birthday Cake Oreo Truffles because they are stress-free, delicious, and ready to party {like the M&Ms}. It’s totally true. 😉
To make these Birthday Cake Oreo Truffles extra birthday-y, you’ll need Birthday Cake Candy Wafers. I used Sweet Collection by Make'n Mold. You don’t need your candy wafers to be birthday cake flavored, but it is REALLY worth it if you can get your hands on a bag.
Crush your Golden Birthday Cake Oreo Cookies, mix with cream cheese, scoop into balls and dip into melted Birthday Cake Candy Wafers, sprinkle with lots of sprinkles and you’ve got yourself super special Birthday Cake Oreo Truffles! It will be difficult to eat just one and that my friend is a promise!
What’s your favorite anniversary, blogiversary, or birthday treat?

Sarah,
That's great! Congratulations on being a full time blogger. You're an inspiration! And these little truffles look heavenly. My go-to special occasion dessert would have to be Caramel Flan. It's so rich and perfect for those special days spread out throughout the year 🙂

Congrats on the blogiversary and especially on being able to blog full-time! That's so great. I'm loving these super sprinkley truffles! My favorite anniversary treat would have to be olallaberry pie. My fiance and I get it every Valentine's day at the restaurant we go to 🙂

Thanks Julia! What is olallaberry pie? OK, I know what pie is, but what is olallaberry? 😉 I've never heard of it, but I am intrigued. Thanks for stopping by! Your Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream with Chocolate Graham Crackers looks to die for! 🙂
